Your checks

These checks also appear on your public profile. Public record checks run automatically for limited companies. Upload photo ID and proof of address under Documents for us to check below. We delete those files after checking them and keep a record of the check.

Your level follows the checks you meet and can go up or down as they change. An expired document no longer counts towards it. Ratings from other sites do not count towards your level. Customer views of completed work, with an invoice or payment we have checked, do.

Up to 12 photos. They are resized and stripped of location data in your browser before they upload. Each one is checked by us before it appears on your profile. Your first photo is shown large, so lead with your best work.

Counts towards Growing reputation

A customer view counts when the work is completed and we have checked an invoice or payment evidence, whatever the customer thought of the job. A quote on its own shows contact, not completed work, so it doesn't count. Growing reputation needs five customers from jobs in the last two years, across at least three different months. Each customer counts once.

Upload your public liability insurance, photo ID, proof of address or trade registration documents. Your profile shows which documents we have checked. The files themselves stay private.

Add the Before You Pay badge to your website

Building a reputation needs this badge on your own website. It shows your current level, updates by itself, and sends customers straight to your profile. Paste the code into your website, or give it to whoever looks after it. We check your website for it, and we also notice when the badge picture loads from your site.

Sign-in email
